So What is a Heat Pump?

Working like a fridge in reverse, a Heat Pump extracts solar heat from the humidity in the atmosphere. Because of this it does not need direct sunlight to work, just good airflow to extract the heat from the air running across the evaporator fin coils.

Heat Pump hot water is energy-efficient in all climatic conditions between minus 5 and plus 45 degrees C, even when it is raining and even at night.

How Does a Heat Pump Work?

A Heat pump uses electricity to extract and transfer heat from one place to another rather than using a direct heating element. As such, a heat pump water heater pulls heat from the surrounding air and transfers it inside a tank, to heat the water. This process allows heat pumps to be up to four times more energy efficient than conventional electric water heaters, saving you 75% on your energy bills in comparison!
